Fire DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe
Published November 05, 2004
I agree with this Los Angeles Times editorial: Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe has to go. It doesn't matter if he's a rainmaker, filling the coffers of DNC with enough funds to choke a donkey. What does matter, though, is that under his leadership the Democrats have been unable to retake the House, the Senate, or the White House. In fact, he has consistently lost ground, and this presidential election is just another example.

I am a Republican, so I should probably shut up about this subject...naaah.
Slick Willie will take no post except Secretary General of the UN, which is not in the cards for him given that W has a new 4-year lease on the White House. Besides, for a DNC chair Clinton seems to have too cozy a relationship (at times anyway) with the junior Senator from New York, who is one (but only one) of the party's potential future candidates.
I agree. As a matter of fact, I stated months ago that if McAuliffe didn't deliver a win of some kind on November 2nd that he would likely be gone soon after.
I also put up a post with my thoughts on who Democrats might look to for a replacement.
Thanks,
David
Do you really think that Bill Clinton has a cozy relationship with the junior senator from New York?

I agree.
