First election results

Two tiny towns in New Hampshire are the first to close their polls, and the results look good: while Bush is ahead, he's not as ahead as much as he was in 2000 - there's a 5% shift in favor of the Democratic candidate. While this is obviously a very small sample, it doesn't bode well for the incumbent.

My prediction: Kerry is going to win. Think about it - Bush barely won 4 years ago, and over the last four years many Republicans have changed parties or decided not to vote at all, while well over half of newly registered voters are Democrats. There's just no way Bush can win - unless something (not so) funny happens at the polls.

Perhaps they shut downn after all the Republicans vote.
Seriously though, if all the registered voters have voted, I guess they can close.
It's 10:50 a.m. in NH, too.
CNN.com already has its map of the US up to show who's winning which state. No states are reporting yet, but it's just ridiculous that the graphic is up at this time of the day.
I'm starting to think we should block the media from saying ONE WORD about the polls until ALL of them have closed for the day. And I'm a free speech nut, too, but this stuff is ridiculous.

Actually, when I turned on Monday Night Football about 10:45 central time, they were showing polls in some small NH town where all 26 registered voters were waiting to cast their votes at 12:01 a.m. I think the polls closed before the football game ended.
