Wu-Tang Clan Still Ain't Nuthin' To Fuck With

Every so often a CD comes down the pike that makes you want to part with your $20. It makes you say "BAH" to downloading...you have to have the actual disc, the liner notes...the perks of owning a true classic.

Wu-Tang Clan's "Disciples of the 36 Chambers, Chapter 1" is one of those CDs. Recorded in July of 2004 during a rare performance that included all nine members of the group, this CD makes you wish you had popped for the plane ticket, popped for the concert ticket and had been in the audience to party.

You get the full on concert feel, you get the full on power of the audience, you get the full on power of the moment...realizing that this is the first time in as long as most true hip hop fans can remember that the entire Wu-Tang Clan has been together...on stage...performing.

26 tracks of Wu classics gets ya head moving and you can't help but try your best to sing along and keep up with the greats.

All the good bits are there: "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthin' Ta F' Wit" gets the crowd worked into a frenzy; Special guest appearances by Redman, Cappadonn and Street Life make for a lot of fun; and the bonus videos on the CD are sweet.

The CD is set to be followed by a DVD of the same performance and the Wu just released a greatest hits album as well.

As RZA said, "...this can be the rebirth of another Wu-Tang era."

I am looking forward to be right in the middle of it!

Well spoken indeed. Though not a fan of rap, that was a fantastic review. Brief, passionate, and you managed to drop an F bomb straight in the title. That is what this site is all about, true freedom of expression. The Duke will be proud of your contribution.

FUCK ALLTHIS HIP HOP SHIT / THE GAME ,AS IT IS CALLED / AND ALL THIS BLINK BLINGING . RAP HAS LONG TURNED INTO A FILTHY , REPULSIVE FORM OF GREED
CORRUPTION , AND A HUGE LACK OF REAL
TALENT BEING FRONTED AS SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE . ANY STUPID CRACK JOCKEY WITH A DRUM MACHINE AND STUDIO TIME CAN DO THIS SHIT AND IT HAS NO REAL REAL VALUE . THE WHOLE GANG OF THEM ARE PLAYING A BIG PART TO DESTROY A GENERATION OF YOUNG MINDS , JUST SO THEY CAN GET A LOT OF CARS AND BE COMPLETELY OVERPAID . GANGS , VIOLENCE, AND DISRESPECT OF MOST ANYTHING IS NOT WHAT WE NEED TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN . I FEAR THE FUTURE AND WHAT THIS GARBAGE MUSIC HAS DONE TO THE YOUTH OF AMERICA.
