Antipop, the SNL thing wasn't a mistake. Did you hear her sing during halftime at the Orange Bowl? It's obvious why she lip synched, she can't pull off singing live. She was absolutely horrible and she's getting rich and famous off of her sister. End of story.

Antipop, the SNL meltdown wasn't simply a "mistake." It's the deception of lip syncing. Nobody would care if she had flubbed a line of her lyrics, but to do that she'd have had to be actually SINGING.

Also, I for one care fairly much about pop music- which is exactly why I'm crappy with this kind of no-talent nepotistic nonsense.

Look. I'm not a big Ashlee Simpson fanatic, but my friend is. You people really need to get over it!!! It was just one mistake, shit. I mean don't you guys have better things to do. If some of you say that your against pop, then you shouldn't give a damn. You know it seems that flaming on Ashlee is very popular. Technically your being with pop on this one. And I'm gettin really sick of hearing Ashlee disses on TV. So just forget about it and move on with your fucking lives!!

I think Ashlee Simpson is a very talented singer... but wat happened that night on SNL was very unprofessional! she could have handled it better, instead of dancing about on stage..email on wat you think at taylor60cbemail.ca

HW, you are closer to reality than you think - her trials and tribs are absolutely at the heart ofher "reality" show on MTV - that's the reason she has been so sanguine about it all: it's just fodder for the show.

She's a kid caught up in the BS fame machine, will she grow up to take charge of her career or fall by the wayside? I don't really care either way, but I think the kid sister trying to compete with the big sister makes sense at 17, but it is hardly the scandal it would be if an established artist was found to be using the same tricks, and being embarassed in the same way.

Ashley's suffering and humiliation- oh, the humanity. It's the stuff of great art, I'm sure.

Or it might be if she actually had any talent or brains.

If only Ashlee had a forward thinking PR
person and business agent in her corner.
(Pssssst,Hey Hollywood! I am available)
I think that they would be able turn Ms.
Simpsons recent "problems" into a money
making venture.Something along the lines
of "The Trials & Tribulations Of A Pre
Fab Pop Princess".

By showing what difficulties success can
bring to someone young and inexperienced
(even if it has been bought & paid for)
when they are not ready for it, how very
unforgiving the public is & how those 15
minutes of fame aren't all that they are
made out to be.

I feel that if this were presented with
honesty and a little but of humility and
tied in with the making of a video (she
would sing and promote this the end of
the show of course) she could turn her
proverbial lemons into lemonade.

Talent wise she is no better or worse
than any of the other tens of thousands
faceless Pop music entities out there in
the massive(on a strictly personal level
I'd rather hear the local animal shelter
being bombed with cinder blocks).

But it's became apparent over the past
few months that she'll never go to far
with her current career strategy, such
as it may be.Just a thought.

Remember in Ashlee's show she was like "I'm not one of THOSE pop singers.... blah blah blah.... I'm all rock 'n roll". Now she has proved that she sucks even more than pop singers. At least Britney has a piece of hot ass.

Thank god her career is over!

It's obvious that Bush bears responsibility for the Ashlee Simpson debacle. Where were the federal regulators from the President's FCC?

John Kerry will not only get Bin Laden, turn the French around, stop evil, and end poverty. He will also guarantee the integrity of live performances so that we don't have to again face the nightmare of another Milli Vanilli or Ashlee Simpson.

Also, he's going to clean up professional wrestling.

of course they have a hundred excuses for her... except the most obvious.

she can't sing worth a damn.

what do you expect from her publicity people?

"yes we signed a person we knew had little to no talent, based on the fact she is a teenager and can be sold to the anti britney spears people, who fine avril lavigne alittle to intimedating, we knew she couldn't sing worth a damn, but then again neither can 9 outta ten people we sign, so thats not our concern, we try to hide the fact she can't sing as much as possible, and try to make her attractive so you will wanna be like her, and forget the fact shes just following around her older sisters career... first the music, then the tv show, next we think she will marry a backstreet boy to be like jessica... but who cares, as long as you ignore the fact that she a terrible singer, and just like her haircut we will make millions-so we signed a bad singer, how is that new?

sincerly,
-ashlee simpsons publicity crew- "

nope, never the truth, always...

oh my band was playing the wrong song...

SOOOOOO what... you were still lipsyncing the wrong song, get over it.

I was sick.

"then call in sick"

I am losing my voice...

"been losing your voice for the last year as far as I can tell"

nope, never the truth, just another excuse.

it's fun to watch someone so horrible at singing fail. it's just karma catching up.

it's sad to think of how there use to be all these great live artists, and now they are all put to the back of the line, cause they won't prerecord thier music.
music has been live for centuries, now we sell music, not for talent, but for a look.

be nice when we can have someone back that just doesn't give a damn what they sound like, and just sings like mad. Kurt Kobain, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, tori amos all come to mind... just pure singers, no real "look" to sell.
I miss when music was about talent, and not a appearance.

Ashlee sucks. I think we all agree with that. I never even listened to that ho anyway. Even if she didnt lip-sync does that imply she has talent. She looks like a freakin' pigs butthole. Here's a tip ashlee, give up your so-called singing career and move on to something you're better at, like being a crackwhore you stupid bitch.
