Literal stump speeches in WV

Rand save a sentimental schmuck from the holler such as me, but I just LOVE stuff like this little story. STORY HERE

Some humble citizen in West Virginia lost a nice tree in his front yard to a storm a few years ago. Now he's turned it into a platform, inviting neighbors to come make literal stump speeches to all who wish to gather round.

The difference such a thing is likely to make in the real world probably rates as approximately negligible, but the idea of this appeals to every little Mr Smith Goes to Washington bone in my body.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.
