Ginger Snaps III

Ginger Snaps III was released (or escaped depending on how you look at it) direct to video this week. If you are looking for a cult classic horror series you don't need to be ashamed to like, this is it. In fact, with its pomo feminist credentials, it might even get you laid, fan-boy.

Filmed at the same time as Ginger Snaps II, this movie features the same actresses, using the same names, and while there are werewolves, everything else is different. For one thing it takes place in 1815, and Ginger and Bridget find themsleves in a fort in the woods in the middle of winter.

But other than that, it's as much monster as before. While it hasn't been as commercially successful so far as Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead" (and the first "Ginger Snaps" is a much better movie than the first "Evil Dead") I think these three movies will become horror classics, and not just in the small realm of Canadian werewolf movies.

This is a good series of films. It's a shame none of them have gotten a theatrical US release, all 3 were released theatrically in Canada. If you like these, and haven't seen it yet, I'd also recommend Dog Soldiers.

Awsome movie if you like the whole ahh my sister is a werewolf thing. And the whole "Together forever" thing!! Great movie Blood looks real she looks mor like a vampier than a warewolf! But Blood and Gore would be about a 6 1/2!
All together I would rate the movie 8/10!!!
