Hal and Bob, I think this is another statement / position that will continue put Kerry in difficulty, to borrow a little language from Phil Ligget. There is much debate about the prudence of going into Iraq. Due to his shuffling on this issue, Kerry has done a miserable job of taking advantage of anti-war sentiment. This statement opens him up to more accusations regarding his inability to lead, plus it puts him on bad terms with Allawi should he become elected. Why do that? For the record, Kerry clearly jumped the shark when, in front of the Grand Canyon, he said he still would have given Bush the authority to go to war in Iraq even knowing now that there were no WMD and we'd been misled.
