Performance reinvented
Published September 22, 2004
Here is an impression of a bodypaint session in Russia. Responsible for the session was Verholat a Russian photography studio.
It reminds me of the popular Performance art from the '60. They did some crazy stuff in those days. Walking totally naked on a colored trail in the snowy mountains, or wrestling naked in paint on the floor and call the result of the action "Art".
Or even better the documented result of an Art action that no longer exist. Yes they had their way with words in those experimental art ages :-)
Anyway, it looks like those Russians have reinvented this concept and I'm sure they had a lot of fun doing so.
