Tears for Fears new release details

Recently reunited Tears for Fears will release their first album in 15 years on 13 Sep. Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith had huge hits in the 80s, of course, with the likes of 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' and 'Shout', but they split acrimoniously after the release of 1989's 'The Seeds of Love'. Orzabal subsequently toured and recorded under the Tears for Fears moniker. After a decade of silence, they starting working together on new album 'Everybody Loves a Happy Ending'. The album was originally set for release last year via BMG's Arista, but the duo left the label after several release delays and they are now signed to new label New Door, part of Universal. The first single from the album will be 'Call Me Mellow'.

This bit of 80's nostalgia news comes via CMU. It will interesting to see if this come-back album is any good. However, actually doing a new album is preferable to rehashing ole' music.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.

I have heard clips from the new album. Their 80's stuff was great, but I am not sure they will live up to their own legend with this album. Just my opinion on what I have heard. I do look forward to hearing it all together and getting a real chance to listen through.

Holy cow, this is just coming out now? I reviewed this and interviewed them in February! I think it's quite excellent.
