Fans of electronica and arty music will be pleased to hear that one of pioneers of the genre is returning with a new album. CMU provides the details.

Pioneering electronic band Cabaret Voltaire are to release a DVD on 18 Oct called 'Double Vision Presents Cabaret Voltaire'. On its original release in 1982, 'Double Vision Presents Cabaret Voltaire' was one of the first independent long form videos ever made and features fourteen visual representations of Cabaret Voltaire tracks including 'Nag Nag Nag', 'Obsession' and 'Diskono'.

The communications company Double Vision was founded by Cabaret Voltaire and Paul Smith in 1982, initially as a vehicle for this particular release but also with a view to releasing affordable music based videos. Further releases included Throbbing Gristle, Derek Jarman, The Residents, Einstürzende Neubauten, 23 Skidoo, and many others. The company also organised various audio visual events and club nights around England. The label continued throughout the 80's and left behind an interesting legacy of experimental visual arts and music.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
