Jaded Heart
(Ulftone)
JH produce German tinged melodic rock in the Def Leppard (if a wee bit harder) and Whitesnake (circa s/t) vein. Full of hooks, catchy choruses and positively oozing melody, this lot will put the smile on the face of any fan of the genre. The band's releases are consistently good and have never had that "going through the motions" feeling that some of their contemporaries have produced. Bands like Def Leppard and Bon Jovi only wish they could produce something this good. Songs like the title track, 'Jaded' and 'Burning Heard' just rock like there is no tomorrow. Why JH is not on a major is beyond me. These guys deserve to be huge and produce albums like they already are. Jaded? Hardly, more like doing the music they want and having a bloody good time at that. (Just witness the bonus video shot of the band "working hard" in the studio.) If you like any of the bands named in this review, this CD is essential.
