makes me want to cross the street to avoid it

actually, it also reminds me of the commercial for (i think) Expedia...where a weekend is planned for somebody's parents.

i just love the scene where they're in the ultra-modern hotel and can't figure out how to open the door to the room.

yeah, and the paranoid husband who envisions a disastrous surfing lesson

That is way over the top - great location - not sure if the web site makes me want to stay there or not....

This is the type of website that I can't stand. It's too flashy to the point where it's impractical to use and navigate. Sure there's a great novelty to it at first, but that disappears rather quickly much like my patience when browsing stuff like this. Think practical usability.

yes, and I despise anything in Macromedia Flash because you can't copy and paste anything - fuckers

#9 — August 27, 2004 @ 17:39PM — visualsimplicity [URL]

I agree. And they say Flash is the future of websites, gosh I hope not.

#10 — August 28, 2004 @ 13:01PM — Eric Olsen

there should be some way to get at the source code so you can at least copy and paste the text that appears within it - it drives me insane tha all of these official movie sites are in Flash and nothing can be quoted

Does anyone know the name of the actress that plays the wife in the Expedia "surfing lessons" tv commercial?

Thanks so much.

What a fine irony to see a comment spammer advertise in a discussion of garish and ugly web sites.

I'd visit the spammer's own site to find out whether the irony is indeed complete, but I don't want to add even a single extra hit to the site counters those parasitic scumbags use.
