...Joint frontman Barat has now told the Daily Mirror that he would welcome Doherty back into the band if he can end his drug addiction: "He likes the romance of drugs and the whole world that goes with it. But you've got to have hope, without that we'd all be stuffed. It feels weird doing all this without him and I don't want to continue this way indefinitely. I can't see us doing anymore writing or recording without him. I think I would ratherend it. If Pete stops taking drugs he can come back and the band can go on."The Libertines single 'Can't Stand Me Now' is currently at number 2 in the charts and their second album is released next week.
