Metallica reportedly love Beatallica, and at one point were considering using their tributes as b-side tracks on their singles. I've never heard of Metallica having a problem with stuff like this - or they'd have nailed Dream Theater long ago for nicking a number of riffs and entire segments of songs, not to mention their entire Master of Puppets live-cover official bootleg (available for purchase at their official bootleg site.)
