Cory Stone thinks that Maybe you will become a fan of his music as many have, if you listen to his new release. I really do not think the word maybe is the best one to use in this context however, I think absolutely would be the best choice. I am sure that is not what that title of this album implies; I was merely using it for a play on words.

What you get on this CD is Stone and his acoustic guitar, which is actually quite enough. His playing is full of body and style, evenly and broadly distributed amongst genres, putting his superb artistry on display. Keep in mind that Stone uses the finger picking style, which is a difficult aspect of his work that I took into consideration evaluating this music. His technical adeptness and professionalism is obvious on this recording. His acoustic guitar resonates brightly, as if he was sitting in cathedral all alone with a tape running. Cory recorded everything 'live' with no multi-tracking or overdubs, which he felt brought a more "natural" acoustic feel to it, as well as a nice vibe.

Stone takes you on a sojourn of instrumental blissfulness in 10 tracks of varied colors and tones utilizing influences from jazz, rock, blues, country, folk, and classical to formulate his stunning environments. If you have an interest in any of the genres I have mentioned, appreciate quality acoustic instrumentals and have a strong desire to unwind, this would be "A Path 2 Walk" for you.
