&lt;i&gt;somebody&lt;/i&gt; there knows about us, as i receive stuff from them all the time.

but, like a lot of the bigger labels, there&#039;s still a sort of schizophrenia when it comes to what to do with this internet thang.

i&#039;ve heard from some people, involved in &#039;security releases&#039; (which, if you can believe it, involved a custom-burned copy for each reviewer...the idea being that the info on the disc would allow them to trace &#039;illicit&#039; mp3s from the internet back to the reviewer), who still see the web and blogs as the enemy. very similar to &#039;real&#039; journalists who look down their noses at blogs.

on the other hand, i&#039;ve spoken to people who think review material should go out with a cdrw, to fascilitate spreading of the music.

it&#039;s a funny world out there right now.</description>
