How not to die live...

Die So Fluid
Upstairs at the Garage
Camden
12 August 2004

Last night saw the release gig for Die So Fluid's debut album in deepest darkest Camden. The venue was crowded, hot as hades and the opening bands (which DSF did not pick) were total and utter rubbish. Add to this my being in the company of three Norwegians... you know that we were ready for a damn good evening of goth metal. Considering what preceeded them, Grog and company would be hard pressed to do anything other than shine. And that they did, delivering a tight set, with one encore, that not only impressed this cynical reviewer but the three vikings. As you expect the set was comprised of content from their album with lots of live oomph. The album is bloody amazing, but Grog & Co live are to die for. These guys should be huge and the major should take notice. Small club gigs do not get better than last night.

Rating: 5/5

Some shots of a hot night of heaving metal.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found on: CD Baby His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
