I'm at best a very casual Laurel and Hardy fan, but I remember they made me laugh probably the hardest I ever have in my life. I was watching one of their short films, "Blotto", and laughing like a maniac when the two boys thought they were getting drunk on whiskey, but it turned out it was only tea.
