The original lead singer of Australian rock gods AC/DC returns to Wales for the first time in 30 years to play at an AC/DC convention in Wrexham this weekend.

Dave Evans, originally from Carmarthen, was among the founder members of the Aussie band back in 1973 with brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. But he left a year later after disagreements within the band and the late Bon Scott took his place. Evans will perform songs that he originally sang with AC/DC plus a couple of his own compositions.

Dave emigrated to Oz with his family at the age of five, but still feels an affinity with Wales. Thousands of fans of the legendary band are expected to attend the three day festival. Ten tribute bands including Welsh band Seedy/DC will also perform.

This bit of homecoming news came from CMU.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found on: CD Baby His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
