Thank God there are people out there who see Kanye as an annoying over -rated artist in Hip Hop. Apparently he saved hip hop but i dont see that. Like music can be saved from naturally going its way of being underground to popular, to over the top-everywhere fame? All music does it. Hip hop will always be around but just not in the same way it used to be, which is the same for Jazz, RnB, and disco music.
I ve known Kanye West since seeing his name in credits of Hip Hop albums from JayZ to Alicia Keys, he aint nothing new and his music isnt either. He has an annoying voice, a stupid kid-like sound and that irritating moral story hip hop. Can he not concentrate on the music or the theme rather than talking with a big head and a knowing humour. Thats what Eminem does and it aint clever. Original hip hop still exists and no one talks about their talent. De La Soul, Common, Slum Village, Talib Kweli, to name but a few. De La Soul have been loyal to the game and yet continued to grow with the music, yet they are clever people and they venture to relms in hip hop most avoid and are proud to be unaffriad in that way. When someone like Kayne goes on and on about how he is the savoiur it is sure to be annoying. His fast road to major fame is even more annoying because most will be forced to think he is cool and most who dont even know hip hop will like him becasue he is easy hiphop. But he aint the true hip hop when he is solo. Go back behind the scenes Kanye and stay there plaase because you aint that good.

Good albumn and I am not one to buy Hip-hop at all. The skits are too much to take after the first listening and are a turn off to so many friends I have offered the CD to. So I ripped it and only hear the music tracks. If you want to give your friends a place in music land.. just thank them in the liner notes.
