the comments don't usually arrive by e-mail straight away, and sometimes i find they get put in my junkmail fodler instead of inbox, but that's probably to do with hotmail being...well, hotmail.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. My blog is actually called "The Art of Getting By", though it's confused for Planet Janet all the time. Let's just say I should have thought the whole process through before picking a name. I am also admittedly rather technologically challenged compared to SOME bloggers, so be patient with me. BTW, while I'm on the subject, if any writer happens to also be savvy in the ways of making a blog a better place, please contact me as I'm currently digging feeding off the kindness of strangers. I tried to check out some of the links included in the comments, but most of them didn't work. Anybody have a reason why? Oh and Eric, I know you said they do, but the comments aren't coming to me via email. Is there something I have to check off to make this happen? All my posts will not be full of such random comments in the future, promise. Nice to "meet" all of you. Janet:) (the smiley face stays damnit!)
