Family Guy

Oh, man! I nearly soiled myself watching the better part of the first two seasons (which I purchased on DVD).

Let's talk a little about the main characters:

You've got a husband who makes Homer Simpson look competent.

You've got a wife who is pretty much perfect, and therefore plays "straight-man" to the rest of the FG squad.

You have an evil genius baby with a vaguely British accent.

You have a talking dog with a drinking problem.

You have a shallow teenage daughter with poor self-esteem.

And you have a fat idiot for a son.

Oh, and a perverted gay Hispanic guy for a boss, a single party-guy for a neighbor, a mumbling black dude and his family for another neighbor, and a cripple and his perma-pregnant wife for yet another neighbor.

Wackiness ensues.

Trust me on this one. Family Guy is the kind of TV you wish was still on TV, instead of all those inane reality shows.

If The Simpsons are PG-13, this crew is R.

rj, i agree. I picked up the first 3 seasons when they came out over here on DVD (although a box-set is now available with an extra disc filled with extras, the sons a bitches)
Some folks don't like the flashback-itis what goes on, but i think its part of the charm.
Also, the special olympics episode is very, very funny.

Oh my gosh, if only people understood how funny this show is. And guess what guys, IT'S BACK. They are currently working a new season of Family guy due to such a strong response to the DVD. Season 4 starts airing on Fox June 2005 according to Alex Borstein.

Yahoo!!! I have always loved this show. Brian? Great name for a dog. Stewie, what a intellectual snob for a baby.

I love the episode where Brian the dog gets a job as a drug sniffing dog then becomes a cocaine addict after he found some on the job and snorted a bunch up his snout. Then he starts bringing hookers home and having late night parties.

Very funny and accurate. Yet has a very endearing side to it's message.

After reading this note, I mentioned it in passing to the girls as I headed upstairs. You would have thought that I announced a second Christmas this year.

Still classic - Did anyone catch American Dad yesterday? Should be on my DVR, although I did see the pilot is an early form sometime back.

Somehow, Stewie, etc. will take some effort to replace, methinks.
