B.S. quotes T.J.
The Thomas Jefferson quote Barbra Streisand used for her November 8 statement regarding Bush's re-election first appeared on Democratic Underground by a poster claiming to be Elizabeth Edwards: "A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches...

FEEDING TIME AT GITMO
The big news at Guantanamo Bay is that a federal judge in Washington shut down the "military commissions," otherwise known as tribunals, being held on the U.S. base in Cuba. Proceedings were halted against a former driver for Osama Bin...

Hopelessly Average
I am just like you - hopelessly average. Don't kid yourself either, you too are hopelessly average, in fact 99.9% of the world is hopelessly average.

Is that an echo I hear...?
The crushing disappointment felt by countless people after the US election has led many to question how left-leaning media pundits were so frequently and disastrously wrong in their predictions. Disillusionment with the mainstream media saw a massive rise in the...

I'm asking you to make a moral judgement
I really meant to leave you all alone, at least until the weekend. But I couldn't pass this up. Consider. Several months ago George Bush championed a constitutional amendment banning marriages where the partners were gay. A month and a...

Straws Grasped: The Election and Cognitive Dissonance
Unexpected, jarring events — such as Sen. John Kerry's relatively decisive loss to President Bush in last week's election — can cause a cognitive dissonance that some seek to explain by denying "apparent" reality rather than coming to terms with...

Is it possible that the vote was hacked? You know... I'm not being a sore loser here so don't even suggest it. I would be asking this question regardless of who won the election. I want my vote to be...

thanks Jason! It's a good way to follow along in chronological order, and with it all in one place you can spot trends and relationships between stories and themes you might not have otherwise noticed
Eric- I'll second the note of thanks, with a special appreciation for a pic of Badnarik that is standard fare rather than one of him blowing his nose or the like. The Nader image is his own, so nobody could get too riled about it, but it looks like a Gary Numan album cover to me.
we strive to be ecumenical!
Great set of info re the US election. The Australian elections are on soon too - I still think it's more a plague on both their houses type of thing in both countries!
thanks gg2, I am certain Australians are doing a much better job of following our elections than we are of yours
Eric:
I just added a link to this page onto my site, like you requested. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS!
Thanks, and that would be great. Certainly everyone who has written posts linked from this master post would benefit greatly from as much traffic going to it as possible.
Who are we to believe on the conditions in Iraq? A man who is risking his life every minute of the day who lives there (Allawi) and is the Prime Minister, or a man running for president that would benefit by worsening conditions(JFK)?
everyone has an angle, including Allawi, but that is not an unresonable question
Have any of you guys seen the new Bushisms DVD? I just bought it from www.bushism.net. It looks pretty funny. Al Franken and Brian Unger are it. Any comments?
thanks Helmut, I'll add it to the Amazon list above
I just linked to this page again in another post to my site. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS!
thanks RJ, I agree
and by everyone, we mean everyone who owns a computer
it is most definately a good source, thanks for the compilation Eric!
This is, in fact, a wonderful source for issues, personalities and the important things we need to consider at this time. It has been wonderfully put together and should serve as a model for the future.
Claire
thanks Claire, much appreciated!
You suck

Eric, this compilation is a great resource site - thanks!
