VR are the real deal

Several well respected rcok magazines have been less than kind to this release from the latest hard rock supergroup to spring from LA. It seems as the reviewers in question did not give this fine slab of LA hard rock a higher rating. This thing is the GnR CD that was never released. Its got the same vibe as Appetite, if not quite as good. But only just, there is enough delivery and angst on here to keep any fan of the best of LA trash glam happy. Forget the disappointing BoD, this is the real deal. Surprising, at least for me, Weiland delivers the goods in droves. An over-rated talent with STP he proves here that Slash, Duff and Sorum (plus the unknown bloke) can get the best out of him when they got his full attention. You got the sleeze rockers on here in form of 'Slither', the odes to drug abuse in 'Superhuman' and of course the ballad 'Falls to Pieces'. This is extremely good stuff that gets better and better with every listen. Now as long as they can keep Weiland on the straight and narrow we might get to see the lads live. Who the hell needs the new GnR album when you got Slash and Co pumping out shit as good as this!
