Yes, I went to see THAT MOVIE....

Then of course, you had a lone protester passing out flyers to everyone waiting in line telling them why the Moore movie was a lie.

Notice, I was more interested in the people who were going to see this movie. But I can give a review of the movie too.

Basically, yes it is preaching to the choir. Anyone who has been observing all of this since 2000 will already be familiar with the points that Moore raises. However, this film should appeal to the more bovine natured Americans who are too busy watching "Cops", "Extreme Makeovers", or some other reality TV and just have no time in their lives to watch the news or read. For these people the movie does a good job of featuring news reports that they may have missed.

There are one or two points that the movie brings home very well- One being that the congressmen don't read every piece of legislation that comes on their desk. Ouch! Scary thought! One that I already knew but to have a congressman admit it on camera is not comforting. The other thing was some of the candid interviews with servicemen stationed in Iraq.

Another good point: The fact that the number of troops that they sent to Afghanistan is less than the number of police in New York city.

Would I suggest to see the movie? No, not if you make a habit of doing research and keeping in touch with American and world politics. If you really having been keeping up however, yes... I think that Michael Moore created a very entertaining, thought provoking, and relevant movie. He did do a very good job with this one. Is it fair and balanced? No- it never claims to be. Still, the facts that ARE brought up in the movie ARE FACTS. If you can discern when you are being spun or not, then this movie is excellent.

If anything, I wish he had brought up even more points about some things but hey... no one wants to sit through a six hour movie.

No, this does not make me a sudden fan of Michael Moore. He still pisses the hell out of me but I need to give him props where props are do. He did a good job for the most part with this film and for what its intent is, bravo. Well done.

I'm curious: Why aren't you a MM fan?

I just saw the movie tonight, but am an admitted and proud longtime Michael Moore fan. The movie was great, and done in his classic style.
