The Expos Conspiracy

Look, I'm not waving the white flag or deserting my team. I bought season tickets this year and I still intend on going to the games. However, I think we have to be realistic here. Major League Baseball is hell-bent on moving the team out of the city. There is nobody that is willing to buy the team and keep it in Montreal. The "fans" don't attend the games either because they complain that the Big O is dangerous (which it is not) or that it's not downtown (it's not like it's in the West Island, it's about five minutes from the downtown core) or that they'll probably lose (which is not true because the Expos have had a pretty good record at the Big O the last couple of years. It's the road games they lose). Until Bell smartens-up and realizes that they could broadcast all the Expos games on TSN (which they own) for free if they bought the team (ratings for Expos games have always been decent and at times better than the Blue Jays) and would make them look good in the Canadian eyes community for saving a threatened Canadian sports institution.

But that's not going to happen. I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm going to continue to going to the games until there are no more. Once they are finally done, we can finally close this dismal chapter in Montreal's history
