Oasis certainly was, but they're pretty much done. PJ, as usual, is out of touch and certainly was even back in 1993. Gen X and grunge were decidedly apolitical and didn't borrow from the 1960s all that heavily -- if anything, Gen X was only the punk movement and punk ethos writ large to the pop mainstream.
