The Amasong Chorus: Singing Out is on Independent Lens Tuesday night on most PBS stations (Check local listings).

I went to college with Kristina Boerger who is the focus of the documentary (even got arrested with her and over sixty other people at an anti-apartheid demonstration), but I think people who don't know her and never went to the U of Illinois will still like the program and the music.

Steve Rhodes is a journalist and photographer in San Francisco.
