Quentin Tarantino's fourth film, Kill Bill Volume 1, has now been released on DVD. The movie has an awesome cast, which includes Uma Thurman, Daryl Hannah, Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Sonny Chiba, and Chiaki Kuriyama. While it lacks in the special features department, it shines as a movie. Kill Bill Volume 1 is an action packed story of revenge.

Volume 1 starts out showng the main character, the Bride (Uma Thurman), beaten up and bloody in a wedding dress. A mysterious man named Bill starts talking to the Bride, and then shoots her in the head. The opening credits start rolling in to Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down), and Kill Bill is off to an action-packed start.

Later, we learn that the Bride was in a coma for 4 years, after Bill, who was also her former employer, and 4 former coworkers attacked her at her wedding. Now, this may sound absurd.

You may be wondering, "What kind of buisiness were they working in anyway?" Simple, my friend: they were in the assassination buisiness. The movie then follows the Bride on her quest for revenge against those that attempted to kill her. All leading up to her main goal: Kill Bill.

There is a lot of action in this movie. Story is minimal here. The action in this movie is the most entertaining aspect of the movie - you just can't get enough of it. The action is done very well, some of the best action sequences and fight scenes I have ever seen in a movie. The action will keep glued to your TV screen like a magnet.

The music in Volume 1 is also excellent, from the haunting Flower of Carnage, by Meiko Kaji, to the old country sound of Charlie Feathers, to the outstanding Battle Without Honor or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei. The placement of music is also great. The vengeance theme in the movie, Ironside by Quincy Jones, will have you feeling nearly orgasmic everytime you hear it, because you know there is more action coming when you hear it.

If you haven't seen this movie, rent it. If you love it after you rent it, buy it. Special features include a making of portion, Tarantino trailers, two performances by the 5,6,7,8s, and other things.

Just be cautioned: There is a LOT of blood in this movie, so if you are squeamish, I wouldn't suggest you watch this.
