Cynthia Rothrock Kicks Ass
Published June 09, 2004
It's not like plot was ever important in any of Cynthia Rothrock's movies. The Shining JAP of the Hong Kong Kung Fu Empire of the 80's, and though she still has some kick-ass, but not so much in "Outside The Law". There's lots of plot, and bad hair-don'ts, and not much ass-kicking.
But barely. There was a time when Cynthia Rothrock meant kick-ass action, over the shoulder kick-ass, O-mi-gohd, I don't believe she did that action.
But this movie, "Outside the Law" ain't it. If you are a completist Cynthia Rothrock fan, then see this movie. If you are just looking for a good kung fu movie, then, this sucks.
It's mostly Cynthia looking like Bette Midler driving a pickup truck.
I just know if I run into her on the streets of Toronto, she is just so going to kick my ass.

I rate Cynthia Rothrock's acting skills slightly ahead of Kurt Thomas (Gymkata) and slightly behind Chuck Norris. Now you have me thinking about cheesy martial arts actors: Billy Blanks, Michael Dudikoff, Sho Kusugi, Lee Van Cleef, John Saxon, Brandon Lee, Eric Roberts--the list goes on and on. I like some of their movies, but could they not afford acting lessons?
be honest..we dont watch her films for the acting..we like her kick ass style and her earlier films because she was hot.. be honest..she is still a kick ass woman..and still decent looking.. so if she reads this i may be getting an email from her.. i was 11 when i met her in 84 at a martial arts event.. i asked the question if she would ever cheat on her husban.. she said yes, if the guy could kick her ass.. i know she said it jokingly but i would be more than willin to try now..so take these movies as what they really are..babes in action not oscar contenders

You know you've seen a poor movie when you watch the trailer on the DVD extras, and you go, "damn that looks like a kick ass movie" and you've already seen it, and it sucks.
