Creed have broken up

Grammy award winning rock group Creed have announced they have split, following increasing tensions between frontman Scott Stapp and the rest of the band.

Over their eight year career, the band, renowned and sometimes knocked for their strong Christian faith, released three albums and sold over 24 million units in the US alone. However tension in the band grew in 2002 after a tour had to be cancelled when Stapp was injured in a car crash. A year later the band came under criticism after fans claimed Stapp was too "intoxicated" to perform at a Chicago gig.

However the band were keen to play down tensions when confirming they were parting company. Drummer Scott Phillips said that no-one was to blame for the split, adding "it just stopped being fun".

That said, Phillips, guitarist Mark Tremonti and former Creed bassist Brian Marshall have already formed a new band called Alter Bridge, and will release an album in August. Stapp, meanwhile, has already recorded a solo track which will be featured on an album of music inspired by the movie 'The Passion Of The Christ'.

See? That's two Creed-related projects where previously there was one. Like they say, if you don't get rid of cancer early on, it'll metastasize. Then you're really screwed.

(with few and insincere apologies to all Creed fans out there.)

'Has.' 'Creed has broken up.' The error glares or I would ignore it.

Not if you're British, MD.

Marty Dodge is not British. He just pretends to be. (Thinks it will make him look smart, I suspect.)

MacDiva, well I was educated in the UK and will probably become a British citizen when I am eligible.

I am not pretending, I write and speak the way I do because that is how I learned to do it as a child. I have spent over half my life living in the UK or living around the British in Latin America.

My many British friends understand this and accept me fine...always have done

They don't have a problem with me, what the hell is your excuse? Besides what business of yours is it how I write and speak?
