Up Against the Legends
The Legends
(Labrador Records)

By calling yourself the Legends you are just asking to get get hammered by the critics. That would be a tad unfair as this lot flog a rather pleasant sort of indie rock. Think a mixture of Oasis, the Cure with some female vocals occasionally thrown in for good measure. This CD does not really break any new ground but is a competent collection of music of a type. It is fairly obvious from the CD that they enjoy what they are doing, and there has to be something to be said for that. If you like indie rock then this lot just might be for you. Too bad their name is rather crap.

Rating: 3.5/5
