More ... Cowbell

The best thing about SNL finishing their season is that you get the repeats and best of programmes. Because let's face it, SNL has become a crap shoot, with a formula, but you don't know what you're going to get while you watch it. Sure you know Weekend Update has got to have some good stuff, and TVFunhouse is pretty consistent, and the last half hour is just going to be pure tedious crap.
So, why gamble? Enough of the jailbait, and the gigglefests (sure, it might be fun for you, Jimmy Fallon, but some of us actually watch this shit).
So this week is pure gold, babies. SNL, The Best of Christopher Walken.
Do I have to say it? What's that you say?
Okay, More Cowbell!
And if you wonder why I don't link to an official SNL page, it is because they can't be bothered to set up a page which isn't a month out of date. Sure, they can make fun of the internet and computers, but they can't actually use them. Now if only the show includes the Kevin Spacey sketch where he plays Walken's screen test as Han Solo.

Except the context where they are giggling is usually a crap sketch. So, you don't have interesting characters, bad writing, nonexistent premise, and I'm supposed to be amused.
Sir, I am not.
Well one of the most hilarious gigglefests was that cowbell scene. That Jimmy Fallon totally can't hold in his laughter in half the skits he's in, but yes, those moments are some of the most hilarious moments of SNL.
The other hilarious gigglefest that I can recall is when Sean Hayes guested. It was the scene with him and Jimmy Fallon playing two elitist clothing store clerks and Will Ferrell drives in in his cart and answers his teeny tiny cell phone. That was a complete laugh riot.
Oh and I forgot to add that Christopher Walken has provided some of the greatest and most hilarious SNL skits ever. The Continental, that's prime.

Actually, the bits with Fallon and Sanz cracking each other up are usually the things I look forward to. I don't know why this is such a bad thing - the funniest moments on TV have often been associated with these unintended "gigglefests." Give me those any day over most of what SNL serves up lately.
