Cinema: Mean Girls

Tina Fey has a brilliant future in writing. Bottom line. This incredibly funny film starred the up-and-coming and ready-to-be-typecast Lindsay Lohan who I very much enjoyed in Freaky Friday. She did it again with a very funny performance, as did all of her 'classmates'. Fey used her Saturday Night Live connections to pump up a great cast: Amy Poehler does a show-stealing job as the psychotic wannabe-cool mom: "Can I get you guys anything? " Tim Meadows, another SNL veteran, was very funny as the carpal-tunnel plagued principal. Minus a bit for the cliche ending, but overall it was a very funny, light film. Go see it.

Was it really funny? Or just, you know, "funny" because it was a comedy?
