Maroon 5 - Songs About Jane

This is a very enjoyable album. It is very pop-rockish and so it's certainly not for everyone, but the light, catchy tunes are very good to rock out to after a long day. My favorites are "Harder To Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved", and "Tangled". Everyone has probably heard "Harder To Breathe" or "This Love", and if you like those songs I reccomend you take a look at the whole CD. The only downside to Songs About Jane is that the band really lacks song-to-song variety and so after you've listened to the whole thing through a few times it begins to get a bit boring. The good more than outweighs the bad, however, making this one of the best records I've ever purchased.

Needless to say I bought the album the next day. Excellent badn...if now overplayed on the radio.

Is it just me or are Maroon 5 HUGE Stevie Wonder fans?

Maroon 5 represents everything i hate about music. The songs seem like complete studio manipulations. Lyrically void of any substance, outside of the surface meaning which I guess a middle school girl might relate to.

If you don't get Maroon 5's "songs About Jane", you're missing out on a deceptively deep and passionate set of songs. Can they produce a great follow-up is the big question.
