"HeadCount is about getting people involved in the political process," said Marc Brownstein, the organization's co-chair and the bass player for the popular electronic rock band The Disco Biscuits. "This contest gives music fans a reason to stage their own voter registration campaigns."

ABOUT HEADCOUNT
HeadCount is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization that is unleashing an aggressive and highly publicized voter registration drive targeting fans of live, improvisational music. It is run entirely by volunteers, and has affiliations with over 15 national touring acts including The Dead, Galactic, String Cheese Incident, Gov't Mule, moe. and the Disco Biscuits.

ABOUT BONNAROO
Quickly established as the premier American rock festival, Bonnaroo won The Pollstar "Festival of the Year" award in its inaugural year. In its second year, Rolling Stone called it "The American rock festival to end all festivals." Bonnaroo 2002 and 2003 both sold out in less than three weeks through the festival web site, with no traditional advertising. This year's lineup includes The Dead, Dave Matthews & Friends, Bob Dylan, Trey Anastasio, Willie Nelson, David Byrne, Primus, String Cheese Incident, moe., and Gov't Mule. So, all you heads, get counted.
