NEW YORK — Billy Joel went on a pizza run over the weekend and ended up crashing his car into a Long Island house — the pop singer's second road accident in four months.
Police on Monday said Joel lost control of his 1967 Citroen 2CV, which jumped the kerb, crashed through some bushes and into the wall of a local residence.
Apart from a minor cut on Joel's hand, nobody was hurt in the incident on Sunday. Police said there was no indication that alcohol was involved.
Joel was kept overnight in hospital in January after his Mercedes Benz veered off the road and hit a tree in the Long Island town of Sag Harbor.
Last year he spent 10 days at a substance abuse and psychiatric clinic in Connecticut. News reports said he had been suffering from alcoholism and depression.

There's a rather cruel Friedman cartoon from Spy Magazine in the early 90 where Christy Turlington is cuddling a liver-spotted Billy, And it is even more cruel now since things have turned out worse for him.
Never mind bring me the skull of Barry Manilow, I want to drink beer out of his skull, bring me the paw of Billy Joel, I want to make evil wishes.
