Tuff rarities CD out
Published April 26, 2004
TUFF frontman, Stevie Rachelle, recently stopped by to plug the most recent additions to the Tuff catalogue. "Religious Fix, Decade Of Distant Memories 85-95 and What Comes Around Goes Around are just re-releases of our existing home videos on DVD," begins the singer. "The Rock N' Rarities DVD is new and it's a collection of songs that we rarely played live. There's a cover of 'You Think You're Tough' by RATT, 'Cat Scratch Fever' by TED NUGENT and stuff like that." With the exception of the new releases, the band has been reasonably low-key these past few years, but Stevie rejects the notion that the band is broken-up, "The band has always existed," he remarks "but in the '90s associating 8-0 with your name or saying you were from Hollywood was like being HIV positive. I'll always be Stevie Rachelle from Tuff and I have no shame in saying that nor will I ever. I'm not going to be changing my name to Steve Johnson or something. I still sell my product and I still appear on a variety of tribute CDs as Tuff." He concludes that thought by adding that there "might be a new Tuff album" this year and that he'd "love to play some shows". For more visit www.tuffcds.com. (By Mitch Lafon)
