Local Detroit Rock tears it up again!

The Musicians Guild band, and local Detroit musicians, Freakstar finally did it. After many years of waiting, breaking up, forming new bands, reforming as Freakstar - They finally did it. They released their first, long awaited CD! And I couldn't be happier! They tore up the stage at Token Lounge on April 23, 2004, playing all the tracks off the CD, and some awesome covers ('Mental Health' and their remake of 'Steppin Stone') ! All the guys sounded great, even if Keith said they hadn't practiced much in the last 2 weeks - it didn't show!

I couldn't miss this event for the world, and glad to be a part of the Freakstar... "Freaks"! This is a band that will make it big, they have the potential, they have the sound - and now they have proof of that on a great CD that shows off all their talents! Great work guys, and incredible show last night!

Hear some of the songs from their CD and see the pictures from the release party!
