Marc Cohn on The Prince & Me

The Prince & Me was a quaint movie. It wasn't particularly profound nor did it cause you to take a new look at the world around you, but it was entertaining. I especially liked the music and during the movie I thought I recognized a familiar raspy voice singing. I found out that not one, but two of the songs in the movie were sung by none other than Marc Cohn, one of my all-time favorite artists. He plans to release a new album this year, so the fact that he has two new songs is encouraging that the plan is still on track.

As is usually the case, marccohn.org was way ahead of me on the scoop. Marc rarely does anything that the web site doesn't have information on.

In the movie he sings Tom Waits' song "I Hope That I Don't Fall In Love With You" and a song he co-wrote with John Leventhal titled "Man of the World." Both are worth a listen.

I have watched The Prince and Me numerous times, there should be a Prince and Me 2 movie. The plot should show the marriage and how Julia Stiles fair and a Doctor and a Queen.
