I am not sure what everyone else is listening to, but my personal opinion is that Ben Gibbard's lyrics are amazing. There is plenty of talk about girls, but his phrasing and language are atypical. "In Other Words" is one incredible song (not to mention the majority of the album of <i>Sha Sha</i>). Deathcab, I can't say much for since I've never really perused their catalogue (I know that's blasphemy since they seem to be the current kings of indie rock).
