More Than a One-Night Stand For Hilton

It would appear that night vision sex tapes and intense vacuity are no roadblock to stardom, at least if you're Paris Hilton:

Star magazine broke the report that the blonde is about to step into the strappy mules of former Guess? babes, including Claudia Schiffer, Anna Nicole Smith and Bridget Hall, each of whom catapulted to fame in the clothing company's seductive campaigns.

While Guess? wouldn't confirm the appointment--"Nothing has been signed by Paris. Nothing has been shot with Paris"--the campaign is scheduled to shoot in April.

Meanwhile, the starlet may soon sign on to star in House of Wax, a Warner Bros. remake of the 1953 classic that starred Vincent Price, according to the Hollywood trades.

The original flick, shot in 3-D, revolved around a demented wax sculptor who stole bodies from the city morgue and covered them with wax for his novelty museum. The new version will focus on a group of teens who are targeted by a creepy killer.

....It will be a hefty (and legitimate) credit for the spotlight seeker, whose feature work so far includes a cameo as herself in Zoolander and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it part in Wonderland. She also has a small role in Kate Hudson's upcoming romantic comedy, Raising Helen, in theaters May 26. [E! online]

And Hilton and her bud Nicole Richie are doing a second series of The Simple Life:

Fox has hired The Simple Life girls for a second season--and this time, they're taking their show on the road.

....Perhaps not wanting to inflict quite as much Paris and Nicole on a single town and host family, the minds behind Simple Life 2 are sending the girls on what Fox refers to as "the ultimate road trip."

"It'll be a cross-country road trip where they travel from town to town and go from family to family," Fox exec Mike Darnell told Daily Variety. "The show can be a different experience in each episode."

....He described their future ventures as a cross between Nation Lampoon's Vacation franchise and MTV's Road Rules.

"It'll be interesting to see the country through their eyes," Darnell said. "Maybe Paris will visit a Wal-Mart. I'm kind of hoping they stop at a Hilton."

In preparation for the A-list road trip, Bunim-Murray Productions and Fox Television are currently holding open casting calls for "all-American families" who are willing to host the celebutantes during pitstops on their travels.

So far, host family auditions are being held in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona, Brooksville, Florida and Lafayette, Louisiana. Wannabes are asked to bring a photo of the outside of their home, as well as recent family portraits.

The flaxen-tressed twosome is expected to spend just under a month on the road. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring and the series will debut later this year.

Maybe they can stay with Howard Stern
