I don't watch West Wing. I was watching the Bachelorette last night with my wife and, let me tell you, I can't believe that Meredith chose Ian! Matthew was the man! Ian's the wrong choice!

That Meredith. I think she likes to sabotoge herself by picking the wrong guy.

The Drudge REport is not a blog, but an online tabloid.

In the ep, Drudge leaked material from an upcoming autobiography by philandeering former vice-president Hoynes (Tim Matheson) which suggested that Bartlett and friends might've schemed to cover up Hoynes' indiscretions. Those of us loyal to the show (and the Bartlett Administration) know that wasn't the case (we were there when Bartlett and Leo confronted Hoynes) and that the disgraced veep was attempting to engage in some historical revisionism to potentially bolster another run for the presidency. But considering the real-life Drudge's role in the current political landscape, the story reference seemed particularly apt. . .

Really, what's the difference between a blog and a magazine on the web?

Most of what people call blogs are really just journals. I'm so sick of the billions of pages of people whining about thier lives.

My site isn't a blog. Oh, I let people call it that and I list it in the blog directories, but that's only because it's what's popular. I consider it a 'zine.

Blog - short for "weblog" - has become the all-purpose term for personal journalism on the Internet. The essence of the original term "weblog" is in the links - keeping a log of the web and commenting upon it - but it has come to encompass pretty much anyone who uses blogging software.

I think we are a web magazine that happens to be written by bloggers.

'Zine? That sounds so dated, Nyx. It also makes me think of badly inkjetted hard copy diaries written by females in their teens and early 20s. Oops! 'Womyn,' I mean. So '90s.

Hey, men wrote 'zines too. The 90's were my mileau, so much better than the zeros we live in now.

The womyn diarists moved to livejournal and call themselves 'bloggers' now.

Or was that somehow an insult pointed at me because you think I'm a chick?
