So Stern said that Kerry is a hero because he helped us loose in Vietname?

Stern had about 20 million listeners nationally when he moved over to satellite. I'd bet decently good bank that a cross-section of his audience is more highly educated and makes a great deal more money than the national average.

"Does anyone with an IQ over 20 even watch or listen to Howard Stern?"

Obviously he does or he wouldn't be given $100 mil a year to put on a show. The real question is does anyone care what you think, Neil.

Does anyone with an IQ over 20 even watch or listen to Howard Stern? Or care what he says or thinks? And if so, WHY?

He's the biggest self-absorbed show biz fraud ever and he knows it. The joke is on his fans. He truly represents a civilization gone with the wind!

I don't agree that the war isn't a votable issue because while our engagement with Iraq is pretty well set in stone, the rest of the war on terror certainly isn't and I don't think Kerry gives it nearly as much priority as Bush does. Iraq is the beginning, not the end.

Stern said all those things about the dems and he believes them. He was undecided who he was supporting before last week, because he supported action in Iraq. The whole Janet Jackson thing combined with an increased clamp-down put him over the top on the side of the democrats because the FCC stuff "effects him directly."

It is actually a very similar position to where I am as well. I don't feel like the war is a votable issue anymore because everybody knows we can't leave. It puts me in a position to decide what are the votable points in this election for me. Stern obviously found his.

Stern has pretty much been a libertarian kind of guy. Very much for abortion rights and pretty gay tolerant (in a macho str8 guy kinda way). He may make the jokes but his growing up jewish and current atheism help him see the world in a much clearer light than the fundies. I'm queer and listen in pretty often. He rips on everyone, everything, and that includes himself.

He mocketh the congresswoman getting weepy over Janet Jackson's tit and that helped clamp him down.

But also the big corporations (like Clear Channels and Viacom) want their mega-media mergers and they are offering up a sacrifice to the GOP for their continued indulgences.

Apparently so. As someone on DailyKos said, the culture war is full "flame on" mode. All hell is about to break loose. (No puns intended.)

So is this the real reason Howard has been pulled from the air? ;-)
