The Streets album on the way

CMU reports:

Mike Skinner has confirmed the new The Streets album is complete and should get a May release, with first single 'Fit But You Know It' out on 26 Apr.

Talking to the NME, Skinner has said the previously reported collaboration with Coldplay's Chris Martin won't appear and a different version of the song he collaborated on will be included. That decision seems to have come from Martin's people - Skinner: "I wrote the track and I thought that he would sound really good on it. I asked him to do it and he did. After that I don't really know. I don't think his record company liked it. But maybe he didn't like it."

On writing the second album following his rise to fame Skinner continues: "I'm as street as I've ever been because I still live in the same city and I still do the same things. I've just got a nicer floor and nicer wallpaper and I've got a telly in my kitchen now."

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
