VERY good news, thanks Casper! Now . . . when do tickets go on sale?!

#2 — February 19, 2004 @ 10:29AM — Chad Woodland [URL]

Fantastic. With no new music to play it will be interesting to mix up a new set list. Pull out some older gems (Jacob's Ladder) or play somethings not played in a while (Xanadu). ALL of 2112 is must. That was one of the greatest moments in my concert going experience.

#3 — February 19, 2004 @ 10:59AM — Tom Johnson [URL]

NO, please not all of 2112 again - they did that in 96, documented it with Different Stages. It's time to move on - I demand Rush play Cygnus X-1 and Hemispheres, together, in their entirety, like they did back on the Hemispheres tour.

Seriously, I hope they do pull out some "new" old stuff - a rehash of the Rio set is not needed. If it's a 30th anniversary tour, let it be comprehensive and do something from every album - and pick only the things that haven't been played to death (The Camera Eye instead of Tom Sawyer! Grand Designs instead of Mystic Rhythm! Etc.) Regardless, I'm very much looking forward to it . . .

i want 'em to open with "Bastille Day"

...though Geddy's uvula would probably end up down in the photographer's pit.

Instead of Cygnus and Hemispheres, I'd rather see something they've never done (or rarely done), We all have seemed to forget about it, The Fountain Of Lamneth. Just play one section! That's all I'm asking for! I also heard somewhere that Rush hates "Caress Of Steel". Can any one verif this?

The wife, daughter and I will be seeing them again at Darian Lake in August. I don't really care what they play (although I would like to see the "Fear" trilogy played once more), but I would like to see Geddy break out and dust off the Rickenbacker 4001!

Um, they have to start out with Finding My Way, don't they ? ?

WWII was a scam. It was revenge for invasions of the Roman Empire by those who
covertly manage western civilization: the Italian mafia. They have been in
charge since at least Prohibition.
In the 1940s and 1950s the mafia used their media to advertise their industries,
alcohol and tobacco, using celebrities in movies. Casablanca is an extreme
example. This is similar what they did in the 80・s except with a new industry:
cocaine.
They have used the media to insult and denigrate the French for decades. The
1960s brought the British Invasion and drugs to middle America, the legacy of
the English invasion.
My grandfather got sucked into the Seabiscut scam. It excited the common man
about horseracing and gambling. Some say it single-handedly pulled us out of
the Great Depression.
One of the products the mafia sells is access, a system they set up in the
United States government. Elements of good have bought access and try to help
those less fortunate.
There are two elements in the power structure: good and evil.
Malcolm X・s message wasn・t evil per se, but it enabled that element to
exercise their evil on innocent souls. Malcolm X was, in effect, used as a
recruiter. Another example was welfare. The public dole was a death sentence
for millions, an outstanding example of how they have used the political parties
for covert positioning.
Martin Luther King was good・s answer, trying to teach the people via a
risk-free path to change. White people were recruited too (glorified hustling
in the media, pre-civil rights). Other recruiting: easy money through lawsuits
in the 1980s.
The English Throne invaded Rome, Napoleon as well. But the worst was Germany.
The stigma from World War II・s Holocaust continues today, the main goal of
revenge against the Germans.
The mafia invented AIDS to gain revenge for a German invasion of Italy which
rivaled that of Muslim North Africa. Rape on a massive scale occurred. Now
they are killing the continent of Africa with AIDS for revenge for a Muslim
North African invasion of Southern Italy. Again rape on a massive scale. This
is why black people throughout the world suffer immense oppression. Now we have
crack babies, gang membership, drive-by shootings, glorified misogyny, war on
terror and AIDS in Africa.
Prices remained essentially constant from 1850-1950. Global warming is the same
as inflation: a terminus. The inevitable closure/conclusion to a project
devised and constructed long ago; a strategic end. Inflation is achieved
through price manipulation. Global warming is achieved through market
manipulation, notably automotive and R&D/implementation of alternative modes of
energy/transport. The result is the same: exclusivity/exclusion. You・re
either in or you・re out.
Hate groups are being used. The Jews are the bait. Just as they are against
Muslims and with the media, in Hollywood. We all recall the cries of Jews
control Hollywood.
My goal is not to frighten, it is to educate.
I for one will not reproduce. You see, I am German, and they know exactly who
is a descendant of a solder who invaded Italy and raped: DNA blood tests. My
forefather invaded Italy at the German Empire・s request and raped the women.
As a result I am cursed, my bloodline is cursed, and it will continue forever.

As it will for you. And there is no hope. In the end theirs will be the only
DNA of its kind remaining. Black or white. Mark my words.
Joseph Kennedy was an enemy of the mafia. They created Prohibition to steal the
industry away from the rightful owners, and all bootleggers are considered
crooks, families who stole from the mafia. It is why JFK and RFK were
assassinated. Every Kennedy death was because of Joe Kennedy. The Kennedy
family curse is because Joe Kennedy stole from the mafia.
John John had an appearance on Larry King in 1999. It was leading into a run
for the Presidency in 2000, and he would have won. They used that opportunity
to kill another of Joe Kennedy・s descendents.
The Kennedys are cursed. And they will be forever. It will never be corrected.

This wound will never heal.

Guido, I am unclear what any of this has to do with rush, but it is a very fine example of conspiracy theory carried onto the point of self-parody and/or insanity.

Rush put on a great show in 2003, and the set list on Rush in Rio shows you that they bounce around the years pretty well. THe thing that really impressed me about Rush is that they put out effort onstage, not phoning it in, and they really seem to enjoy themselves and not take their stardom too seriously. MUsically, they sound great, in fact the later songs stand up better in concert than on the album.
"Bastille Day" would be a great opener, too bad I won't get to see them this year.

I would like to see, and hear "By-Tor and the snow dog" live and all the way through.
