You listen to what you are?

In the comments thread of the post on the Democratic candidates favourite music, I speculated on what George Bush might be listening to. Somehow I don't think he's much of a Dixie Chicks fan. He might be a fan of that obscure British band called Ugly Rumours. But since none of their recordings are known to survive, it's unlikely.
There's one song, however, that just seems to define him. At least the way he and some of his supporters see things. It seems to explain his world view. It's by none other than Manowar...
When you are old enough to read this words Their meaning will unfold These words all that's left And though we've never meet, my only son I hope you know That I would have been there to watch you grow But my call was heard and I did go Now your mission lies ahead of you As it did mine so long ago To help the helpless ones who all look up to you And to defend them to the endDefender
Ride like the wind
Fight proud, my son
You're the defender
God has sentFather,father,father
I look up to you and heed thy call
This letter ends my search
I'll live your dream now passed on to me
And I now wait to shake the hand of fate
Like the dusk awaiting dawnSo wizards cast your spell
With no heart to do me well
So it's written,it shall beDefender
Ride like the wind
Fight proud, my son
You're the defender
God has sent
Can't you just imagine him crying "Death to False Metal!". After all, if Saddam Hussein's taste in music is like his taste in art, those huge tacky palaces in Iraq would have been full of Foreigner and REO Speedwagon albums.
As for the rest of his administration? For John Ashcroft, nothing at all. Music is sinful. Music leads to dancing, dancing leads to fornication, and fornication leads to eternal damnation.
For Dick "Halliburton" Cheney, it can only be Abba's "Money, Money, Money".
I suspect Richard "Prince of Darkness" Perle is into extreme Scandinavian death metal. But since I'm not that much up on that scene I'll make his theme song "Warhead" by Venom.

I remembere reading (on thismodernworld.com - god, I love that guy) that one of Dubya's speeches alluded to the following disturbing lyric:
THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD
Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you over evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood.
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

You're wrong about Ashcroft (sometimes truth is stranger than fiction).
On second thought...
