Primary casting done for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie

According to the official Douglas Adams web page, these are the actors who wil be playing the main characters in the movie:
Arthur ... Martin Freeman
Ford ... Mos Def
Trillian ... Zooey Deschanel
Marvin ... Warwick Davis
Zaphod ... Sam Rockwell
The only actor I'm really familiar with is Sam Rockwell, so I have no idea if the others will be able to play these characters. It'll take a little time getting used to American actors in these roles, but I suppose it's more important that Douglas' story remain intact than having an entirely British cast. Not word yet on when it's actually being released, but I hope it lives up to expectations.

The only place I know Zooey Deschanel from is Almost Famous, and I thought her performance was painfully bad in that film. I will, of course, reserve judgement until the movie is released, but I don't see anything particularly "Trillian" about her.

Martin Freeman is an excellent choice, but what's missing from this cast list is: who's playing the book? It's almost painful to imaine anyone other than Peter Jones in the role, but since he's not available anymore... how about his Just A Minute colleague Clement Freud?
