Lost In Translation review

Wow. One of the first words that comes to mind after watching this film (apart from Wow) is "pretty." This was a very beautiful film, with lots of interesting shots and camera viewpoints, etc. Just very well done in general, with a very strange yet appropriately fitting musical accompaniment. The storyline is very hard to describe. There is no real plot to speak of; it's just a character analysis of these two people and everything they encounter in a very foreign place, combined with a series of images from Tokyo. It is a very interesting film for sure, although very unique, almost strange. I really can't give you an overall score for this film, just go rent it yourself.

I rented it from netflix. I intend to watch it tonight.

I'll let you know how I found it.

Finally rented this and couldn't have been more disappointed. Watching bored, melancholy people stare into space, drink, smoke cigars and cigarettes and barely speak is not interesting...at least not in this film. I think everyone needs to revisit the childrens story "The Emperor's New Clothes" to explain why this got such great reviews.
