President Bush's rhinoplasty

The pictures above are undoctored.

The nose? Not so sure.

The political significance? Zero.

Nonetheless, it is very important to speculate as much and as loudly as possible. Experts should be consulted. Columns written. International attention gained.

We need to focus. What matters is not that this doesn't matter. What matters is that we're open-minded enough to have a discussion--nay, to inflame a discussion--about how it might be possible that it could matter. For example, what if everyone started to talk about it, so even though it doesn't matter it starts to matter?

This is a realistic possibility, so it is vital that we start talking as much about it as possible right now.

Don't forget to compare pics of him with his forehead wrinkled and eyebrows raised to him relaxed. That seems to be the key to most of the Kerry before-and-afters I've seen. :-)

The changes in Bush's nose are real, but they were not done out of vanity.

The slight alteration in size and shape are the results of a recent operation to have his nose surgically removed from Ken Lay's ass.

(Obviously, laser and skin bleaching therapies were unable to ameliorate the discoloration caused by many years of butt-sniffing and brown-nosing.)

You're welcome,

Dr. M. Sharkoli, M.D., ASPS

My goodness, the things that some people waste time on. Bush's nose? There's so many things one could focus on with him that a nose job seems hardly news.

Brian, the more blatant your attempts to have your cake and eat it too, the more entertaining you are. Thanks!

I have heard the President's procedure was performed by a certain Dr. Gepetto, who has experience in this sort of corrective surgery.

Hilarious, Brian. From these pictures we may also learn his blood alcohol level. Personally I don't think he had a nose job; he had his eyes widened. Curt

Hasn't anyone noticed Lura Bush's cosmetic surgery? She disappeared for a while last Spring and reappeared looking 16 years old and 20 pounds lighter. Where was the press on this on?

This is way more radical than Theresa Heinz Kerry's Botox!

its remarkable that some of the people who replied acctually took it seriously. i dont think republicans understand that we have a sense of humor, and that some of the things they do are so funny. its like they take all journalism so serious and can't appreciate a little satire.
